The BAREFOOT FOR AFRICA 5 K will be held at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City on October 8th, 2011. Participant’s are encouraged to donate a pair of shoes and run barefoot with us. Of course, you can RUN with YOUR shoes on should you prefer!
The race starts at 9 AM. The cost is $20. When you sign up, you are also paying the entry fee for a FELLOW RACER in Ghana, WEST AFRICA who will be running IN THE KUKUOM 5 K on November 19.
You will be able to see PHOTOS of the individual African runners, live news coverage, and maybe even your shoes going faster than they ever have GONE ONLY ON Ghanaian Roads! You will get an awesome T shirt from HART to celebrate your support of our dear friends across the globe. All proceeds will go towards the HART MEDICAL Mission in November and the Kukuom HART 5 K race.
