Bring Your Hands. We'll Bring the Mission.
Surgeons and students, nurses and organizers: every mission runs on volunteers who show up ready to serve and to learn.
There's a Place for You Here.
You don't have to hold a scalpel to change lives on a HART mission. Our teams blend clinical specialists with logistics, education, and outreach volunteers, all working under the direction of local partners.
- Surgeons & anesthesia: plastic surgery, ENT, dentistry, general medicine
- Nurses & techs: OR circulation, post-op care, mobile clinics
- Students: pre-med, nursing, social work, public health
- Logistics & outreach: supply sorting, transport, education sessions

Everything You Need Before Wheels-Up.
The essentials, in one place. Full details and downloadable documents live on our volunteer portal.
Mission flights are coordinated through our travel partner so the full team arrives together in Accra. Once your application is accepted, you'll receive the group itinerary and booking window.
- Book within the team window, since arrivals are synchronized for ground transport inland
- Plan for 10-14 days door-to-door, including travel days

Guests First. Partners Always.
Before your first mission, every volunteer learns the HART way of serving: cultural humility, shared decision-making, and respect for the autonomy of the communities that host us.
We work under local leadership, celebrate local expertise, and measure our success by what communities carry forward, not by what we carry home.
Our ValuesThe Next Team Is Forming Now.
Tell us about yourself and how you'd like to help, and we'll take it from there.
